Pina Colada Smoothie Recipe

 

I love smoothies! They provide all the vitamins and minerals that I need to keep myself strong and beautiful. This Pina Colada smoothie provides copious amounts of skin protecting vitamins. Coconut milk has omega-6 fatty acids which are necessary for human health because the body can’t make them, you have to get them through food. Omega-6 plays a crucial role in brain function. Also, they help stimulate skin and hair growth, maintain bone health, regulate metabolism, and maintain the reproductive system. The pineapple and orange in the Pina Colada shares its vitamin C content with you and protects the skin from scarring. Lastly, the moisture content in this smoothie, due to adding ice at the end of the  blending process, hydrates your skin and gives you a supple look.

Pina Colada Smoothie Recipe

serves 2

1-cup coconut milk

1-cup pineapple

1 orange, peeled

1 banana, peeled

1 tbsp. honey

1/2 cup ice

Add coconut milk to honey to the blender and blend on high for 3 minutes. Add the ice to the mixture through the top of the blender and blend for 3 more minutes. Serve in a beautiful glass.
