I know what you’re thinking…how can herbs increase orgasms and the want for sex? The answer is this, to be able to enjoy sex and reach orgasm your mind must be relatively free from tension, you body needs to maintain proper blood flow, and your endocrine system has got to retain proper hormonal balance. Therefore, herbs that reduce feelings of stress, thin the blood, aid reproductive functions and boost overall wellbeing have been shown to increase libido and intensify orgasms. These herbs include:
Ashwagandha Root: The Kama Sutra identifies Ashwagandha as a potent igniter of passion and desire. This healthy medicinal herb is classified as an “adaptogen”. I always imagine adaptogens being little cars that carry released hormones to the part of the body that will activate them todo their job at maxim capacity. Adaptogens help the body manage stress and exert a normalizing effect on bodily processes. Research shows that it may be an alternative treatment for loss of libido and erectile dysfunction. For men, its shown the ability to stimulate the production of nitric oxide in the body which causes a dilation of the blood vessels that carry blood to the genitals, leading to increased sexual desire. For women, Ashwagandha acts on the endocrine system by encouraging hormonal balance. A study involving 51 menopausal women who were taking Ashawgandha on a daily bases noted a significant reduction in hot flashes, anxiety, and mood swings.
Maca Root: Maca root, also an adaptogen, has been used for centuries by the Inca’s and indigenous people of Peru to balance hormones, promote fertility, and increase energy. One scoop in your morning smoothie, and you will feel that extra pep-in-you-step. There are two different types of Maca powder on the market: red and black. The red Maca is used for treating fertility, female libido, strengthening the prostate, easing symptoms of depression, circulation, hair growth, and over all wellbeing. The black Maca is for male libido, erectile dysfunction, muscle building, and stamina, to learn more about this root visit my past blog entry, Maca: Nature’s Viagra at http://thespicybananas.com/maca-natures-viagra-rich-and-warming-chicken-soup-with-maca/
Ginseng Root: Different Ginseng roots treat particular ailments. The most common Ginseng roots in the states are the red Korean version and the American one. The red Korean ginseng treats impotence and erectile dysfunction because it stirs circulation, reduces blood lips, and eases muscle soreness. American Ginseng aids women in maintaining proper bacterial balance in the vagina, and cools down an overactive temper. To acquire the amorous effects you desire I suggest listing your ailments and considering if you need an herb to heat you up or cool you down. To know which Ginseng is best for you, I suggest purchasing the book Asian Health Secrets by Letha Hadady. This is one of my all-time favorite books, it will help you balance your entire system, and strength your personal weaknesses.
If there’e one idea you remember upon reading this entry it’s this: horny equals healthy! That’s because your libido is a direct reflection of your overall hormonal balance, heart health, and mental wellbeing. The path to greater sexual satisfaction is multifaceted. Remember to relax, enjoy the journey, and take care of your mind and body.
